Accounting Manager for 4 stars Hotel Makassar

Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager supervises five staff accountants and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Accounting Manager will have contact with senior-level Attorneys and the firm’s Executive Director and Controller which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

- Research and analysis of accounting matters.
- Interface with investor relations and other groups within the company.
- Represent the accounting function in acquisition analysis and acquisition integration.
- Setting bank accounting policy.
- Ensure appropriate resources and staffing is available for department.
- Oversee tax compliance.
- Presenting to the audit committee and Board of Directors.
- Information on a timely basis.
- Act as annual external audit liaison.
- Oversight of external auditors.
- Driving process change to drive efficiencies in overall accounting, finance and business processes.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of monthly financial.
- Involvement in strategic initiatives of the Company involving accounting matters.
- Supervise department and manage the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide training to functional departments on internal control activities to ensure a strong internal control environment.
- Involvement in due diligence meetings with potential investors.
- Work closely with internal legal department as well as outside legal counsel as necessary.
- Formulating and administering the monthly financial close and internal reporting process, creating efficiencies needed to move toward a shorter close period.
- Taking meetings with key investors as necessary on accounting matters.
- Maintain appropriate internal controls and safeguards, including.
- Manage all aspects of interactions with external accounting firm.
- Develop, implement and upgrade financial systems and controls.
- Interaction with senior executive officers of the Bank.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
